A Professional Visual Storyteller

Cho’s filmmaking career began when she minored in Documentary Studies back in the day when she studied at University at Albany, SUNY. She kept her pursuit of filmmaking by achieving her Master’s degree in Television Production at Brooklyn College, CUNY.

Cho directed and edited TEDxFulton Street 2016 “Things You Can’t Have” in Manhattan, NY while she also used a 360-degree VR camera for live streaming. Also, Cho directed her first television format jazz talk show pilot called Hahn DaeSoo’s My New York in La MaMa Theatre, Manhattan, NY. She has collaborated with professionals from diverse fields such as a sports journalist, William Rhoden, an installation artist, Karin Giusti, an interdisciplinary artist, Kiya Kim, etc.

Cho has worked with many brands and companies, Foundation Valmont, ESTEEM US, ESPN/The Undefeated Rhoden Fellowship, CJ E&M, TVN, etc. Furthermore, she always has been interested in and cared about social, and cultural issues, thus she had participated in some projects: Assemblyman Ron Kim’s “Political Gut Check”, Youth Council of Fort Lee’s “Comfort Women Memorial Unveiling Ceremony” and SeSaMo’s “Never Forget the Sewol Ferry“.

Currently, Cho is working at Live X, known for its live streaming service. Her end clients are notable corporations including Vox Media, Take 2 Interactive, Fubo TV, Verizon, etc.

A Professional Educator

Yoon Cho treaded a professional teaching career. Currently, Cho used to work as an Adjunct Professor at New York City University of Technology in the department of Entertainment Technology.

When she came to America and initiated into a film career, she had worked as a teaching assistant for a single camera production program at Brooklyn College.

In the summer of 2015, Cho also worked as an assistant instructor for a short film program at Dongguk University in Korea aimed at foreign students in English.

Cho managed ESPN/The Undefeated Rhoden Fellowship as an assistant instructor and led fellows in New York JETS Mini Camp.
